FSP / TÜV Rheinland is a leading company in vehicle inspections and fleet management. Their existing vehicle fleet management extranet “Oscar” had proven reliable over the years but needed modernization to remain functional in modern server environments and to improve usability.
Extranet Modernization
A comprehensive update that brought the platform up to date and simplified user operation. Through technical migration and security improvements, the user experience was significantly enhanced.
The trusted “Oscar” extranet was based on CakePHP 1 and was no longer operable in modern server environments. Users also needed extensions to better handle the complex data structure.
We migrated the platform to current standards and extended functionalities as per user requirements. This included migration to PHP 7 and MySQL 8, implementing extensions and bug fixes, and conducting penetration tests to address security vulnerabilities.
